About the Workplace

Krokstorp BoDa is a housing facility with special services integrated with daily activities.

We are now looking for two dedicated support assistants for Krokstorp BoDa. Here, residents live with decisions according to LSS. The operations are based on respect for individual self-determination and integrity, and we actively work to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for each individual.

As a support assistant, you work closely with the residents to support their development and independence. Together with your colleagues and the support pedagogue, you ensure that the interventions are implemented according to legislation, always with the individual's needs at the center.

We have a salutogenic approach, where the everyday life of each individual should be comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful. To strengthen participation and self-determination, we use clarifying pedagogy, low-affect responses, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). We strive for continuous development and quality improvement, which means that you as a support assistant have an important role in driving pedagogical processes and strengthening the operations.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of support assistant, you are responsible for creating conditions together with your colleagues for the residents to have a functioning, structured, and meaningful everyday life!

Your main job responsibilities include:

  • In consultation with the support pedagogue, plan, implement, and follow up individually adapted interventions based on the residents' needs and goals in their implementation plans.
  • You should promote participation and independence for our residents through your work. The job includes participating in activities around the individual, such as going swimming or similar.
  • You will participate in special teams around the individual.
  • Work with low-affect responses and contribute solutions to otherwise comply with LSS legislation.
  • Collaborate with relatives, colleagues, and other actors regarding the individual's needs.

The position as a support assistant involves working day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with work experience with the target group. You should have actively worked as a support assistant or support pedagogue within LSS previously. To work as a support assistant, education as a support assistant or in relevant areas that the employer assesses as equivalent is also required. We value knowledge and experience of low-affect responses and clarifying pedagogy. In the role of support assistant, you should have a motivating and pedagogical approach. It is highly meritorious to have experience working with individuals with autism and various functional variations. You need to be well acquainted with LSS legislation. A driver's license is also a requirement.

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in your professional role! In the role, it is important that you take responsibility for your tasks, plan, organize, and prioritize work according to the needs of the operations. It is also important that you are flexible and contribute to creating a good work environment and are loyal to your employer.

If you also have knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and experience in social documentation, it is also meritorious. The ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as documentation is part of the job. Experience with documentation in the IT support Treserva is advantageous. You should be computer literate.
